The Game of Death was Bruce Lee’s last movie project before his sudden death in 1973. The film was to be the embodiment of Bruce Lee’s philosophies and the pinnacle of his Jeet Kune Do values but Bruce, unfortunately, died suddenly in the midst of filming.

Through clever editing and imaginative directing that took over five years, producers were able to try and fulfil Bruce’s dream. In the film, Bruce plays Billy Lo, an upcoming martial artist who is being courted by the triads who see a promising future for the actor. True to his training and integrity, Billy snubs the triads but the determined gangsters resort to violence.

Billy has to go through different levels in a Tower, where a fighter with a special mastery waits to challenge him, to reach the apex of physical and mental powers. Billy meets his greatest challenge on the last floor where his challenger (the towering Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) fights him with a dose of his own Jeet Kune Do.

The climax is a duel-to-death the likes of which has never been seen before on the silver screen and, sadly, has never been seen since Bruce Lee’s early death.
